Gareth
Gareth has been trading and investing for more than thirty years and teaches what he does as Financial Wisdom, from Cardiff. It is a YouTube channel past three hundred thousand subscribers and a members platform built around the same method: a stock screener, the weekly research behind what it finds, a portfolio he publishes trade by trade, and a Discord to talk it through in. Education and research rather than advice, which his own site is careful to say out loud.

What they work with
- Thirty years, mostly self-taught
- His own account of it is hundreds of financial books and a great many hours of self education, and a strategy assembled out of what he found there and what the traders before him did.
- A strategy built around a job
- The breakout method he teaches runs on the weekend rather than on the open. Most of his audience is investing their own money around full-time work, and the strategy is shaped by that constraint rather than in spite of it.
- The scanner and the weekly report
- A bespoke breakout scanner, ranked setups, company financials and risk data in one place, then a weekly write-up of what came out of the scan and why it qualified. The data load underneath it is the work Mate does for him.
- Not a signals service
- His own line, on his own site. Members can follow the positions he discloses, but the point is that somebody ends up running a portfolio that suits them rather than copying a list.

He runs a stock market education business, and the work here is ongoing rather than a single session: Mate manages the data load and the scanner data behind the platform. The channel came first
Financial Wisdom is where most people meet him: market analysis and strategy lessons for people investing their own money, more than three hundred thousand subscribers, and a YouTube Creator Award for it. The trading press has noticed too, and his own site is understated about it. FinancialWisdomTV.com was written up in the February 2024 issue of Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities.
What the members side actually is
A screener, the research behind what it turns up, a portfolio he publishes trade by trade, and a room to discuss it in. He draws one line on his own site and it is worth repeating: some members follow the positions he discloses, but this is not a copy-trading or signals service, and everything on it is education and research rather than personal financial advice.
